Individually hand made using white stoneware clay. High fired, all egg cookers are lead free, dishwasher safe, microwave and oven safe. Since they are handmade, each pot is unique and will vary a little in size and shape. This item is: 3" tall & 4" diameter All cookers come with a lid that has a vent hole on top. They will hold 2 eggs with about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of other ingredients. The container holds 1 cup comfortably. To use the egg cooker, you need to crack an egg or two and place it into the pot. Pierce each yoke so it does not explode when cooking. Place the lid on the pot and place it into the microwave for about 30 to 50 seconds for a sunny side up egg. You will have to experiment with your microwave, as some are higher powered. I like to scramble 2 eggs in a bowl and add a small amount of vegetables like shredded zucchini with a small bit of shredded cheese. I then place that into the egg cooker and cook for 1 minute. I then stir it and cook again for another minute. It is a wonderful way to have eggs without having to drag out the pan and dirty a plate. The handle stays cool so you can eat your meal right out of the pot. The cleanup is super easy. Just wash in hot soapy water. I have not had any problem with it sticking even though I do not use oil or butter.
