During this 1.5 hour Tokyo sushi-making class, guests will visit a 100-year-old sushi shop in the heart of the city and learn how to make 5 types of sushi, including nigiri sushi and tamagoyaki sushi. There are three main methods of forming sushi, and during this class, the cooking teacher and chef will show you the “kotegaeshi” and “tategaeshi” methods. Since this Tokyo cooking class takes place at a shop with over 100 years of history, the owner is able to teach the traditional practices of sushi craftsmanship. Your host, Kazuki, is the president of Sushi Bar Yachiyo, and has taught this Tokyo sushi-making class to over 5000 visitors from abroad. His sushi-making experience is a welcoming and wonderful introduction to the world of sushi.
